Removing the Alternator on Citroen Xsara

Model: Citroen Xsara MK 1 - Years 1997-2006

Is the alternator on your car no longer charging? How do you proceed? Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it in place. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Use a socket spanner to remove the bolts, taking care not to damage the wiring harness membranes. Unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once the alternator is removed, take it out. Get the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing. Tighten the securing bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check with a tester connected to the battery to see if it charges.
