Is the gear knob broken? Let's see how to change the gear knob on the C3. Use a plastic lever to detach the leather gaiter frame (if it needs replacing). Take the knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. Install the frame under the new leather gaiter with the clips (if removed), then take the new knob and push it onto the stick present in the centre console until it is secured. Lower the cover over the lever until the frame clicks into the centre console. Check that all parts of the gear assembly are correctly installed.
