In this guide, you will see how to dismantle and replace the gear knob on a first-generation Citroen C3, as well as on most models from the Citroen and Peugeot group. First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the gaiter plate, prying it off from the sides; once unlatched, you can lift the gaiter and cut the tie wrap. At this point, pull the gear knob upwards with force to remove it from the lever; simply replace it with the correct new one, securing it properly onto the lever and reassembling the gear gaiter!
