When installing the tyre onto the hub while the car is on a jack, it is advisable to clean the seating on the hub of any oxide and debris using a wire brush, and then apply some grease. This will allow the rim to fit perfectly onto the hub, avoiding eccentricity that can lead to vibrations while driving. After cleaning, position the wheel by aligning the fixing holes, manually screw in the four bolts, and tighten them with a spanner in a criss-cross pattern to ensure even fitting.
