How to Replace the Door Stay on the Citroen C3

The failure of the door stay, which keeps the door open, is a common issue on this model; to replace the stay, first remove the door panel: unscrew the screw on the rear edge, remove the handle cover, and unscrew the screws underneath; then release the clips and remove the panel; unscrew the pin that secures the stay eye to the pillar and the nuts that secure it to the door; to extract it, it may be helpful to remove the speaker, but since it is secured with rivets, you can also reach underneath by moving the covering; insert the new stay and reverse the process for installation.
