It often happens that the cover of the remote key can get damaged at the button area: the rubber covering tends to deteriorate and may tear. You can also purchase new replacement covers from the aftermarket.

First, check for the correct match by verifying the number of buttons on the cover, which usually comes complete with a mechanical key, known as the blade. To open the remote key shells, simply lever in the designated slot located right behind the remote, where the keyring can pass through.
