Part: Brake pads
Operation: How to replace front discs and pads on the Citroen Xsara Picasso

In this video we can see how to replace the front discs and pads of the Citroen Xsara Picasso: we open the hood to access the brake fluid reservoir, then lift the front of the car and remove both front wheels. We remove the brake caliper by retracting the piston inside, and place it on one of the shock absorber springs; we remove the pads and clean the support, then proceed to remove the cover and then the disc; we clean the hub well with a metal brush and then grease it with copper grease. Before installing the new disc, it must be cleaned with a brake cleaner and absorbent paper to remove the paraffin; we insert the disc and reassemble the cover and then the caliper, grease the new pads with copper grease and place them in their position, close the caliper and now we can reassemble the wheels and lower the car.

When the steering angle sensor malfunction warning light comes on, it may need to be replaced as follows: first remove the steering wheel and the lower steering wheel guard by removing the three fixing screws. The steering sensor is located just below the steering column. To release it you need to have a small screwdriver and insert it into the hole on the front, push the screwdriver all the way down until the clips at the bottom are released. Next, pull down on the back of the card containing the sensor and disengage it from the steering column. At that point take the new card and reposition it, after which proceed backwards to reassemble the various components.
