How to open the engine hood of a Citroen C4 Picasso?

To open the hood of a Citroen C4 Picasso, start by sitting in the driver's seat and locate the hood release lever under the dashboard. Pull it towards you to unlock the hood. Once the hood is unlocked, go outside the car and find the hood safety latch, located under the front edge of the hood itself, near the Citroen logo. Lift the latch upwards, depending on the model, to further release the hood. Now you can lift the hood with your hands until it locks into the open position. Be sure to support the hood while working underneath it to avoid injury or damage to the car. Once maintenance or inspection operations are completed, carefully lower the hood and make sure it closes properly.
