How to repair or replace the handbrake button on the Citroen C4 Picasso

In this video we can see how to easily repair/replace the handbrake switch of the Citroen C4 Picasso: we need to open both sides of the central console and pull it towards us, being careful of the electrical connections we may find inside including the one of the handbrake button, controlled by a lever. We remove the four screws and see that inside there are microswitches that we spray with WD-40 and then try to put everything back in place to see if the operation is restored, but the button is stuck again, so it was necessary to replace it. We can find this component on Amazon with the code B08JGBSKGX for 17.99 euros, free delivery for Prime customers. With the replacement everything went back to normal, but it was definitely worth trying to repair it before replacing it.
