First of all, make sure you have a new knob that is perfectly compatible with your car, then enter the cabin and remove the protective cover of the gear lever. Next, also remove the small metal safety ring and pull the knob upwards until it is completely disassembled. Once you have done this, install the new knob and reposition the protective cover correctly.
