How to Replace the Heated Seat Fuse Relays on the Dacia Duster

Learn how to replace the fuses and test the heated seat relays on the Dacia Duster. This fuse is located inside the fuse box in the cabin, on the driver's side, behind the plastic cover at the bottom left of the steering wheel. The fuse of interest is F16, rated at 15 Amps. To test the fuse, turn on the ignition and connect the probe of the test lamp to a ground; touch both metal contacts on the top of the fuse with the probe. If both contacts light up the lamp, the fuse is good; otherwise, it needs replacing. If it is a transparent fuse, you can see if the metal wire inside is broken, indicating that the fuse has blown. In the video, a relay tester is used: if the light flashes green, the relay is functioning; if it flashes red or does not flash, the relay is faulty. Without a specific tester, you can test it by swapping it with an identical one from a secondary circuit and check if the problem moves. If the fuse blows again, there is a more serious issue, such as a short circuit in the wiring or components, a fault in the relay, or a problem with the heated seat system itself.
