To change the manual transmission oil on a Dacia Sandero 1.0 SCe, lift the car, secure it, and remove the lower protection panel. Locate the drain plug for the transmission (it is near the engine oil sump but is a separate plug) and unscrew it using a 8 mm square drive socket.

Allow the oil to drain. Replace the 16 mm copper washer on the drain plug and re-screw it. Be cautious about the fill plug: some tutorials suggest finding it by removing the left front wheel, but on the Sandero in the video, it is not present.

The fill plug is located on the front side of the transmission case, near the radiator: it is a white plastic plug. Unscrew it, insert a rubber hose, and fill with approximately 1.9-2.3 litres of 75W-80 GL-4+ oil (Renault/Dacia specification).

The level is correct when the oil begins to overflow from the fill hole. Allow it to drip, then close the plug.

Reassemble the protection.
