Replacing the battery or shell of a DR 1 remote key is a straightforward task. First, extract the metal key using the dedicated button on the remote. Next, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the central part of the remote and gently open it. Remove the central circuit board to easily access the battery, then take out the old battery and insert the new one, a 3-volt model 2032. Once inserted, reassemble the battery onto the circuit and fit it back into the remote shell, then close everything.
