DS DS 7 - Video tutorial

Model: DS DS 7 MK 1 - Years 2020-2024
Operation: How to recharge a DS7 E-Tense?

In this video, we are explained in simple terms the use of the DS 7 E-Tense, which is the hybrid version with a plug-in thermal and electric engine. We can see from the dashboard that we are currently running low on battery, as we only have 6 km of range, as shown in the bottom right. I enter the display by pressing the button on the bottom left, and I go to select the charging schedule. This is because if I have a bi-hourly contract where I have better rates at night, it is good to use them through the delayed charging button. We will charge it using the wall-box, which is essentially a transformer that converts the household energy into a suitable current to recharge the car. Naturally, being a hybrid, the charging is faster compared to a fully electric car; a charge takes about 3/3.5 hours. If we charge at a charging station, the green color indicates that the charging is taking place; the larger plug goes into the car and the smaller one goes into the charging station. To start the delayed charge, simply press the clock located in the top left. The color of the LED around the plug changes, it turns blue, indicating that the car is waiting to be charged. If the LED turns red, it means that there is a malfunction. On the display, there is all the information regarding the range and the waiting time for the charge.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
