Changing the oil of a Ducati Monster 797 requires some fundamental steps to ensure a correct operation. Start by making sure you have the recommended type of motor oil as stated in the user manual, along with a key to unscrew the drain plug.

Place the motorcycle on a stable surface and use a stand to ensure maximum stability. Under the engine, locate the oil drain plug, then carefully use the key to unscrew it. Make sure you have a container under the engine to collect the used oil. After removing the plug, let the oil drain completely, which may take a few minutes.

Once the oil has been drained, put the drain plug back in place and make sure it is tightly secured. Next, open the oil filler cap, which is located on the top side of the engine.

Use a funnel to slowly pour the new oil into the engine, making sure not to exceed the recommended amount. After adding the oil, put the filler cap back in place and make sure it is securely fastened.

Finally, start the engine for a few minutes and let the oil circulate, then turn it off and check for any leaks.
