In this video tutorial we will see how to remove and replace, in simple steps, the front brake pads on a Ducati 999 and 749. First of all, let's loosen the two bolts that hold the caliper; we use an 8 mm Allen key. Once removed, press the spring inwards to remove the rear pin, as shown in the video; then we leverage so as to make the piston retract and remove the old pads. We just have to replace them with new ones, applying the reverse procedure of disassembly and following the video to the end!

How do you bleed the Gilera Nexus 500 brakes?

In order to bleed the Gilera Nexus 500 brakes, you need to open the drawer that is located in correspondence with the knob, unscrewing the fixing screws of the cover. Once this has been opened, it will be possible to insert a small tube inside the vent on the brake caliper: therefore, by opening the valve, the brake fluid can be collected inside a container. When all the fluid has flowed out, it will be possible to fill in the new brake oil from the vent that was previously opened by removing the cover next to the knob.
