To change the engine oil in the Ducati Monster 796, loosen the drain plug located at the bottom of the bike, on the right side of the oil sump. Loosening this plug will allow all the used oil to flow into a container until it has completely drained. On the left side of the oil sump, you will find the oil filter, which should also be removed and replaced with a new spare part. At this point, you can top up the oil by pouring it into the filler cap on the right side of the bike.
