How do you clean the lambda probe and how do you reset the yellow engine warning light on a Fiat 500X Multijet 1.6?

Have you noticed that the yellow engine light is on? Unfortunately, it could be due to a dirty lambda sensor. Before considering replacing it, it's worth trying to clean it. How do you do it? Start by disconnecting the battery for safety reasons. Then, locate the sensor, which is usually found on the exhaust manifold. Gently unscrew it with a wrench and, to clean it, use a toothbrush with white spirit or alcohol. Alternatively, you can spray it with a sensor cleaner and then dry it well. Reassemble everything, reconnect the battery and take a drive for a few kilometers to see if the light goes off. If it remains on, try resetting it with an OBD2 or by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. If the problem persists, it may be time to change the sensor, and in that case, it's best to contact a trusted mechanic.
