How do you replace the diesel filter on a Grande Punto without spending money on labour? Follow these steps: lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod; once you locate the fuel filter, disconnect it from the pipes and sensor wiring. Remove the filter housing (with the filter itself), then unscrew the securing bolts.

Pull out the dirty filter and refit the housing with the new filter. Reinstall the housing in the engine bay with all its parts (pipes and wiring).
