Hoping to never need it, it is good to know how to temporarily repair the tire of our Fiat 500 in case of a puncture, using the inflation kit provided, which is located under the trunk floor. Position the car - which must be in neutral, turned off, and with the handbrake engaged - so that the valve of the tire to be inflated is close to the ground.

Take the kit and rotate the knob to the "sealing" position; unroll the hose and screw the fitting onto the valve stem, and attach the power cable to the vehicle's power outlet. Start the engine at idle and press the ignition button on the kit, which will start the sealant entering the tire, then the pump will start to inflate the tire: make sure it reaches the correct pressure.

If this is not achieved within 15 minutes, it means that the tire is too damaged for the system, and it must be replaced. Once it has reached the correct pressure, turn off the pump, remove the speed limit sticker and apply it to the dashboard, then remove all the equipment.

Drive for 10 minutes at no more than 90 km/h, then check the tire pressure again and if it has dropped, inflate it again. Go to a tire repair shop as soon as possible for a permanent repair, informing the professional that the tire has been treated with sealant.
