Let's see how to find and remove the ECU from its housing in a Fiat Ducato, which in this case is a camper, but it's not crucial. The battery is located under the driver's feet, so we will have to unscrew the bolts holding the floor of the footwell, and immediately disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical problems. Next to it, we have our ECU, but to get there we have to remove a plastic partition that partially covers it. It is fixed with two bolts to the floor, and then we have to disconnect the electrical connectors. We will have the ECU repaired at an authorized center - let's not try to fix it ourselves if we are not experts in the field - hoping not to receive bad news like the YouTuber who was told that the ECU was irreparable, so he had to buy a new one: there are many opportunities online, even used and refurbished ones, and many types also enhanced, so we will not give purchase recommendations. Reassembly is simple: just reconnect the connectors and secure the safety bolts, reposition the plastic cover, and reconnect the battery. Put back the floor screws, and we're done.
