In this video, we will see how to behave when our vehicle signals the regeneration of the DPF. Now, anyone buying a diesel car must be aware that these vehicles are not suitable for short trips or city driving, but are intended for long-distance travel. There is little information on this, even from sellers, who prefer to sell one more car rather than avoid a customer who comes to complain about a vehicle with a constantly clogged DPF. On some vehicles, there is a light that signals when the DPF is regenerating, while on others, one must sharpen their ear and listen to what the car communicates: an increase in RPM, a faint smell of burnt oil, the fan always on. In this case, we should not stop but drive a few kilometers on an open road between 2000 and 3000 RPM; moreover, we should change the oil every 10,000 km, regardless of what the manufacturers tell us, to avoid finding residues in the oil, which would no longer be able to lubricate effectively.
