Removing the Centre Tunnel of a Fiat Grande Punto

In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the centre tunnel of a Fiat Grande Punto; this also applies to other models from the manufacturer. First, get inside the car and remove the two plastic covers found at the bottom, at the front: then remove the tunnel which is secured by clips and pull it out applying some force. At this point, unscrew the three 10 mm nuts to remove the lower part; remove the last part of the centre tunnel, as shown in the video. Next, reassemble everything by applying the reverse procedure!

As shown, the filter is positioned at the lower part of the engine, right between the left half-shaft and the sway bar attachment. To replace the filter, first, go underneath the vehicle, taking all necessary safety precautions. Then, using an 18mm wrench, open the drain valve and allow any water present to escape. Next, unscrew the housing, remove the old filter, insert the replacement along with a new gasket, and reassemble everything.
