Adjusting the Handbrake on Fiat Punto

Adjusting the handbrake on the Fiat Punto mk2, as with many car models, is very simple. You just need to remove the plastic cover behind it, using a plastic wedge or a small flathead screwdriver to pry it in the gaps. Once done, you will have "exposed" the bolt located at the back of the handbrake, which is responsible for tightening it more or less forcefully. Using a socket wrench, tighten or loosen the bolt, testing the handbrake by pulling and releasing it until you achieve the desired result. Refit the plastic cover by securing it in place, and you're done.
