How to Repair the Spiral Contact on the Fiat Grande Punto

Model: Fiat Punto MK 3, Punto EVO, 199, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018

In this video, you can see how to repair the spiral contact. First, open the access panel and look at the bottom of the steering wheel, on both sides. You will find two holes that allow you to remove the steering wheel without issues. Insert a screwdriver into one of these holes and locate the lever that holds the airbag in place. Once you feel the lever disengage, pull the steering wheel towards yourself. Disconnect the cable located behind the indicator stalk and remove it from its housing. Now, open the indicator stalk using a Torx key size 10 to remove the 5 screws. At this point, you can work inside, where all the mechanisms and electrical circuits are located. You have two options: you can repair the damage inside, or you can replace it directly with a new indicator stalk. Reassemble all parts in reverse order of disassembly. (See video).
