First, unscrew the old antenna to remove it from the base; if you want to install a new fin-shaped antenna, you may choose not to remove the base (as long as the fin fits perfectly over the antenna base).

Typically, double-sided tape is used to secure it, which is usually included in the kit; if you wish to remove the antenna base, you will need to take off the headlining from the area near the bonnet to access the base's fixing screw and the electrical connector.
