How to Replace the Gear Knob on a Fiat Panda

Model: Fiat Panda 141, MK 1 - Years 1980-2003

Start by unscrewing and removing the screws that secure the gaiter of the gear knob. Remove the internal rubber and take off the gaiter. Since the gear knob on the Panda is press-fitted, you will need to heat the neck of the knob. Once this step is complete, you can remove the knob. Before setting the knob aside completely, take the internal adapter, which you will need to refit onto the gear lever. At this point, to install the new knob, simply follow the initial instructions in reverse, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
