Fiat Punto - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat Punto 199, Punto EVO, Grandepunto , MK 3 - Years 2005-2018
Part: Injectors
Operation: How to replace or clean the LPG injectors of the Fiat Grande Punto

To clean the LPG injectors (located behind the front axle shaft) on the Fiat Grande Punto we have to do this under the car, so we have to get some ramps so that the car is raised safely; we start by disassembling the flute that contains the injectors, first we detach the connectors by pushing the tab and pulling it (not before having taken a picture in order to reassemble them correctly); remove the lateral general connector by first lifting the yellow safety tab and then pushing the tab to and extract it; remove the 2 13mm screws that hold the flute bracket; remove the side pipe by levering to remove the clamp and then, with the help of a screwdriver, remove the pipe (paying attention that gas could escape); remove the 2 10mm bolts where the pipes are and finally disconnect the pipes by levering to remove the clamps and pulling the pipes. Before cleaning the injectors we can check if there is current with a multimeter by positioning it on the 200ohm frequency, insert the tips on the connectors and if we notice that the value oscillates between 0.12 and 0.14 the injector is good, otherwise it must be replaced; to remove the injectors and clean, remove the plate by unscrewing the 4 10mm bolts, remove the injectors with the help of a small slotted screwdriver from the side (being careful not to break / scratch the plastic or the gaskets); once every single injector has been removed, we remove the gaskets (being careful not to break them, first the largest gasket and then the small one) and remove the filter with the help of a small screwdriver. To clean the injector we immerse it in the luminating oil, fill it with solution by feeding it and when it is filled we will see the dirt come out into the container (this operation must be done until the dirt stops coming out and the transparent liquid comes out, if the liquid the spilled is too dirty we throw away the dirty one and repeat with the clean liquid), when we see that the transparent liquid comes out the injector is clean and we can move on to the next injector until all 4 are clean. After cleaning the injectors , clean everything, spray grease on the clean gaskets, reassemble the injectors, bring the tabs of the injectors downwards, insert the plate and screw the 4 bolts with the 10mm wrench, insert the side sensor by screwing the 10mm bolt and for assembly, we perform the reverse procedure compared to disassembly and connect the pins, observing the photo taken before disassembly tage to connect them correctly. Once everything has been reassembled, we can test the car. To carry out the replacement only, after removing the 4 injectors, insert the new injectors and the new gaskets.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
