How to Remove the Handbrake on a Fiat 500

To remove the handbrake on a Fiat 500, you need to loosen all the screws securing the plastic covers around the centre tunnel. Once these are removed, you can access the components underneath: here you will find the handbrake mechanism, which can be freed from its housing by unscrewing its securing bolts. Once these are removed, the handbrake lever and its mechanism can be pulled out and replaced with new spare parts. After replacement, reassemble the removed parts.
