How to Install a Higher Capacity Battery on a Fiat 500L

To replace the battery on a Fiat 500L with a higher capacity one, specifically a FIAMM type L380P with an integrated check, start by removing the old battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then remove the positive terminal. Take off the upper and lower clips. Remove the strap holding the battery in place using a 13 mm spanner. Set it aside and take out the battery. Although the new battery is larger, it will fit without difficulty. Reverse the procedure to reinstall. Reinsert the strap and secure it with the 13 mm spanner. Reattach the two clips. Finally, connect the positive terminal, followed by the negative terminal. Job done.
