How to Change the Automatic Transmission Oil on a Fiat Freemont

To change the oil in the automatic transmission of the Fiat Freemont, first lift the car. It is on a ramp here, but you can safely lift it without professional equipment, though do not rely too much on your jack. Remove the cover that protects the gears and take out the filter, which you should clean with petrol or replace (a new filter costs no more than £30 on major e-commerce platforms; the oil + filter kit costs around £110) and allow the used oil to drain into a container, which you will then dispose of correctly at an authorised centre. This operation may take several hours. Once you have removed all the oil, refit the filter and the cover, then top up the oil through the upper filler neck. The job is complete.
