Replacement of the Fuel Cap Flap

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011

The protective flap of the fuel cap is attached to the bodywork via a spring that facilitates its snap closure and a shaped pin in the form of a square wave; to remove it, open the flap and detach the return spring, then slide the pin out of one hole and then the other, and take off the flap from its housing. To install it, insert it into the designated housing aligning the holes, insert the pin securing it inside the flap itself, and finally reposition the spring attaching it in its respective housing; at the end of the installation, perform tests for opening and closing.
