How to Change the Battery on the Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet

Let's see how to change the battery on the Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 MultiJet: open the bonnet of the vehicle; the battery is located on the right side of the engine, in front of the driver. First, remove the battery support strap using a socket spanner with an extension. Then, disconnect the negative terminal (the black one). Only after that, disconnect the positive terminal (the red one). Now you can remove the battery from its housing. The terminals will likely be a bit corroded, so use some fine sandpaper to clean them. Now insert the new battery, then coat the terminals with copper grease to improve contact with the cables. Now you can reattach the terminals, starting with the positive one, then the negative. Refit the support strap. Now you can close the bonnet. The operation is complete.
