Instructions for Removing the Half Shaft

Model: Fiat Panda MK 1, 141 - Years 1980-2003
Part: Drivetrain

To remove the half shaft, first assess how to loosen the fastening nut on the hub side: instead of using the method shown in the video, which involves clamping the brake disc with a makeshift vice, it is recommended to loosen this nut before lifting the vehicle; once the nut is loosened, lift the vehicle, remove the wheel, the complete brake caliper with its bracket, and then the disc; complete the removal of the central nut, unscrew the fastening bolts of the hub support to the shock absorber, and disconnect the suspension wishbone ball joint using a forked puller; once the half shaft is freed from the hub side, unscrew the flange fastening bolts from the engine side and slide it out of its seat.
