How to replace the tailgate button on a Fiat 500?

To replace the tailgate button on a Fiat 500, open the tailgate to detach the rivets covering the carpeted area inside the tailgate. Once the carpet is removed, you will be able to locate the screws underneath it. There will also be screws securing the chrome trim above the number plate, which contains the button. By loosening these screws, you can detach the trim and the corresponding button. This can now be removed and replaced with a new one, and then reattach the trim.
