Fiat has announced that most owners of the Freemont who have the letter B on the chassis have already realised that the battery discharges quickly due to a manufacturing defect in the glove box door. Inside the compartment, there is a bulb that should turn off as soon as the door closes, but due to this defect, the door does not close properly, causing the battery to drain rapidly. Specifically, the glove box door does not close perfectly due to a missing piece of plastic, which means the light inside does not turn off. The manufacturer has stated that they will address the issue.
