Operation: Openable hood replacement and / or lock repair and replacement

Obtain the original replacement hood. Unhook the hood and open it completely, open its housing when at rest and let it retract. Move the seats forwards to better access the fixing screws on the side of the car and unscrew them by first removing the cover caps. Mark the position of the convertible top sealing plate with a felt-tip pen to reposition the new one in the same position. Unscrew the screws of the plate with a ratchet wrench. Proceed also on the other side until the hood is completely removed. Position the new hood and fix the screws of the plate by positioning it in the marks made previously. Tighten the screws and replace the door seals. Close the hood to check correct fastening. If necessary, adjust the position of the plates and fully tighten the fixing screws. Refit the plastic moldings. If you want to replace the cover sheet only, remove it completely by cutting the rubber gaskets along the frame and removing the sealing rivets of the return springs with a drill. Remove the canvas from the frame by tearing it gently in the glued points. Refit the new cover by placing it on the frame and securing it carefully along the edges. With bostik type glue and a brush, glue all those parts previously removed, fix the various metal subframes and put new gaskets back on. Refit the return springs by connecting them to the cable and fixing them with new rivets. To replace the rear glass only, simply remove the metal hook of the gasket and use a plastic tool to pry the edges until all the glass is removed. Position the new glass by first applying the zip fastener clips. Slide the zipper around the glass securing it to the cloth. Lock the clips and hide it under the cloth. Make the rubber gasket adhere perfectly. To replace the lock, the door panel must be removed. Remove the key lock by removing the two sealing screws on the side of the door itself.
