Dismantling the External Rear-View Mirror

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011
Part: Side mirror

Lift the plastic cap located on the door pillar behind the rear-view mirror to access the screw underneath. Remove the screw and then take off the adjustment knob. Using a pair of small-nosed pliers, gently unscrew the metal ring around the adjustment shaft of the mirror. Remove the plastic cover, taking care with the cables still connected. Disconnect the adjustment knob from the adjustment cables and use the pliers to remove the mirror retaining ring. Remove the entire external mirror assembly.
