Replacement of Gear Shift Gaiter and Knob

Here’s a nice accessory that is easy to install. Obtain the kit and proceed as follows: use a flathead screwdriver to pry between the plastic of the knob and the base until the cover is removed. Unscrew the knob from the gear stick. Carefully remove the knob and slide off the gaiter covering the gear lever. Refit the gaiter onto the base by adhering the two strips of Velcro inside the gaiter and tighten the opening using insulating tape or, preferably, a plastic tie. Reposition the gaiter in its housing. Fit the new knob, which will be secured to the gear lever using an Allen key on a threaded bolt.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
