How to Replace the Window Regulator Mechanism on a Fiat Croma

Model: Fiat Croma MK 1 - Years 2005-2010
Part: Power window motor

If you hear a noise similar to grinding when raising or lowering the door window, it is likely that the associated operating mechanism has been damaged, possibly due to broken plastic gears or a steel cable. To replace the mechanism, which usually does not include the motor, first remove the door panel. Take off the switch panel to access the fixing screws, then release the clips. Next, remove the aluminium under-panel to which the window regulator mechanism is attached, ensuring to loosen the fixing claws. Then, replace the mechanism and reassemble in reverse order.

Let's see how to remove the center console on a Mercedes C-Class. Use a plastic trim tool to pry off the cover located at the bottom of the center console. Remove the leather shift boot along with its plastic frame. After removing the cover, unscrew the fastening screws located at the top of the center console with a screwdriver. Once this is done, pull the console away and disconnect the power cables for the knob. Finally, insert the new piece into the center console area and reassemble all the components of the glove compartment as you disassembled them earlier.
