Once a certain mileage is reached, it will be necessary to remove and replace the timing belt; let’s go through the procedure for the Ford Focus 1.6 Ti-VCT. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and begin by removing the coolant reservoir. Then, lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel, taking off the wheel arch liner and disconnecting the serpentine belt, as shown in the video.

At this point, remove the crankshaft pulley and take off the timing cover, then remove the belt; replace it with a new original one!
