Let's go through the steps on how to dismantle and replace the timing belt on a Ford Focus 1.6Ti-VCT. First, lift the vehicle and start by removing the front right wheel and the wheel arch liner; from the engine bay, remove the coolant reservoir, then remove the alternator (disconnecting the belt) and the engine mount, as shown in the video. Now, remove the timing cover, dismantling the crankshaft pulley to subsequently take off the belt from the toothed pulleys; in addition to the belt, replace the water pump if necessary, checking the wear condition of all timing components.
