In this video we see how to replace the alternator of the Ford Focus MK1: in this case the drive belt has already been detached from the tensioner, having removed the protective cover. We got there with a 17 mm wrench; it is advisable to lift the car from the side where we intend to perform the operation, in order to remove the belt more easily from underneath. The alternator is held by three bolts, one of which, 15 mm, is located at the bottom, while two are clearly visible and also 15 mm. Obviously there is also a connector for the electrical part, and a 10 mm bolt that carries a pipe that is fixed here. We then remove all the fixings and we can extract the alternator.
