How to replace the alternator of a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi MK2

In this video, we will see how to replace the alternator of a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI MK2: first, we remove the battery, disconnecting the negative connector first, then the positive one, then we remove the clamps from the air intake, which we will also have to remove, and the fixing bolts, in order to have space to remove the alternator, which is located under a tangle of wires. We will have to remove the three 10 mm fixing bolts and the tensioner located on the left side. There are also 16 mm bolts; for those on the right side, we will need a swivel ratchet wrench to remove the bolts from this side. Then, with a pry bar, we push down the alternator, remembering that it has four bolts on top and two on the bottom: we must have removed them all, and then disconnected the electrical connector. We can find the new alternator for example on E-bay with code 311483981526 at a price of 160.99, free delivery. We will proceed in the opposite direction to put the new piece back in place.
