How to Remove the Alternator from a Ford Focus 1.8 TdCi

If the battery warning light remains illuminated on the dashboard, it means the alternator is no longer charging. The alternator is located at the rear of the engine, on the passenger side, directly beneath the air conditioning compressor. To proceed with the removal, it is recommended to lift the vehicle and work from underneath. First, remove the auxiliary belt, then detach the air conditioning compressor without disconnecting the pipes to avoid releasing gas. Next, remove the shaft connecting the pulley to the alternator itself and complete the disassembly.
