Replacing the Thermostat on the Ford Focus 1.6 - 1.8 TDCI

In this video, find the instructions that will allow you to remove and replace the thermostat on the first series Ford Focus, both with the 1.6 and 1.8 TDCI engines. First, open the bonnet of your car and start by removing the radiator hose, draining all the old coolant. Next, remove the alternator to access the thermostat; to do this, take off the serpentine belt and unscrew its fastening screws, as shown in the video. Now you can remove the two thermostat pipes and unscrew the screws to take it out; replace it and reassemble everything!
