Replacing the Thermostat on Ford Focus

Is the thermostat on your Ford Focus due for replacement? Here’s how to replace it. Open and lift the bonnet, remove the radiator expansion tank. Unscrew the bolts of the thermostat hose as shown in the video and (using a socket spanner with the appropriate sockets) pull out the sealing cap from the housing and extract the thermostat. Insert the new part; connect the hoses to the new thermostat. Tighten the bolts securely and you’re done. Ensure that the valve is correctly inserted and mounted in the appropriate housing. Refit the expansion tank and top up with coolant.
