How to replace the EGR valve on the Ford Focus?

To replace the EGR valve on the Ford Focus, open the bonnet to access the engine bay and remove the plastic cover from the top. Once this has been removed, you can access the internal components and disconnect the connector attached to the EGR valve. It must be disconnected from the pipes connected to it by removing the respective securing rings. At this point, you can also unscrew the securing bolts of the valve and extract it from its housing, replacing it with a new spare part. The new valve should then be connected to the connector and inserted between the pipes.
