Replacing the EGR Valve on a Ford Focus

The EGR valve should be replaced if damaged or if you have issues with your car, here’s how to remove it on a Ford Focus. Lift the engine bonnet and secure it, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the plastic cover under the windscreen. Once the EGR valve is located, unscrew the securing bolts. Clean the EGR valve if reusable, otherwise replace it with a new one. Refit the EGR valve in the engine bay and screw in the securing bolts, reattach the cover under the windscreen and secure the soundproofing panel above the engine.
