Removing and Cleaning the EGR Valve on a Ford Focus

In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove and clean the EGR valve on a 2008 Ford Focus. First, open the bonnet and remove the wipers, also taking off the plastic cover with a Torx key. Then, slide out the panel and unscrew the two screws of the EGR valve located behind the fuel filter. At this point, if desired, clean the valve from the unburnt exhaust deposits: use appropriate degreasing products available at auto parts stores and spray them on the deposits to clean them! Once cleaned, reassemble everything!
